Chain Of Life

I’m making my shoulders strong for the young to stand upon
Stepping lightly on the backs of those who hold me up
It’s a chain of life unending ever new and ever bending
Grateful is the heart for the chance to be alive . . .

Crone Archetype ~ Sheela-Na-Gig

by Janine Donnellan

With the media constantly portraying women as thin, young and beautiful, this unrealistic ideal adds growing pressure on women to cosmetically stay young rather than go with the flow and age gracefully. Take a look at Hollywood productions which constantly feature sex goddesses as the norm and you see an emerging development of complicated icons of female sexuality which distort the sacred nature of femininity and female sexuality. Welcome to “Crone and Sage”

Welcome to Crone and Sage, a website that is dedicated to our pagan elders who want to share their knowledge and wisdom, magic and life experiences in the form of articles, poetry, recipes, artwork and music. I would like this website to become a special place where readers of all ages can sit a spell and learn about our elders' talents and knowledge. It would be truly wonderful if this knowledge could be shared with the many generations within our community, just like the ancients have done over the centuries. ~ Janine
